Messrs. DaWty and Co., Ltd.. Palmertton North, report havlntj held their Talhape salo on Wednesday, when a small yarding of sheep and cattle came forward, which ROld as follows:—Cull ewes, in lamb, 195.; m.a. ewes, in lamb to Romncy rams, 275. Abraham and willams, Ltd., report :-At Palmerston North, on Thursday we had a. small yarding of both Bheep and cattle. The weather was wot, consequently a small attendance. Wrieht, Stephonson, ,and Co., Ltd., report having hold a, very successful clearing salo on account of Mr. F. W. H. Rummer at Maurlccvillc. There was a largo attendance of buyers, and a total olearancs was effected. Dairy cows sold from £10 sb. to £Z0 155,; the herd nvcragirnr about'£l4;'horses to £23. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Aeency Co.. Ltd.. report having held a clcarinc sale of dairy stock on account of Mr. P. B. Bartholomew, of Levin, on July 14. The results of the sale proved most satisfactory to the vendor. The herd of 74 cows (including a few empty and three-quarter' ones) made an averaoe' of £20 ss. per head. They quote :-July calvcrs, £23 10s. to £33; August do.. £22 10s. to £35 10s.; September do.. £17 10a to £28 10s.: October do.. £14 to £30; Novcmher do.. .£l2' to £15 10s.; cull and empty cows. £5 10s. to £8. ' The lino of Shorthorn heifers, ■in calf, £12; ten-month Shorthorn heifers, £6 10b.: bull, £12 10s.; cows in full milk, £14 to £22 10s.
