YOUNG MAN DROWNED
By Telegraph-Preis Association. , Auckland, July 5. A fatality occurred this evening on the steamer Rakanoa, which is discharginn coal at Chelsea. Steward btanley Mills, aged seventeen years, disappeared overboard. He had been seen going to the side of tho ship to empty a bucket of refuse. Shortly afterwards the crew heard a loud splash. They rushed to the sddo, but no trace of Hills could be seen. A boot was lowered, but the search was without result.
