Mr. Storey apparently Kent on the mes-. sage to Mr. W. M. Hughes (Federal Prime Minister), who replied that owing to the danger of introducing powdery scab into Australia and the necessity of protecting . the Australian potato industry the Ooveriiment was unable to allow the admission of New Zealand potatoes for food purposes.
