A NOTIFICATION AS TO PASSPORTS. By Telegraph—Press Association. . , Auckland, June 22. • An important notification has been issued by Mr. Winslow, United State* Consul-General for New Zealand, that on and after July 1 passengers for Europe, via tho Panama Canal, who do not in- , tend to land in the United States, will' not be required to have their passports vised by consular officers dn different centres in New Zealand unloss they desire to return via America. In the event ;of any person not desiring- to land in , America when going, but wishing! to re- - turn through the States, then it will bo wise to have the passport vised in New Zealand, as there, is no power in- tho ; London,office to grant a passport to' a person whose- document has not been .
