EDUCATION BOARD
HALF MEMBERS RETIRE THIS MONTH. Half the members of the Wellington Education Board are due to retire this month, and tho meeting to be held tomorrow morning i» for such members the last they will be required to attend unless they are again nominated and returned at the coming i election, The members who are to retire by_ effluxion of time are Messrs. R. A. Wright, M.P.. and J. P. Shand (city), W. H. Field (Hutt-Horowhonua rural district), E. H. Penny (Marlborough), T. Moss (Wairarapa), and B. P. Eish worth (HuttPetone urban district).
In connection with the above vacancies the following nominations have been received:—
Wairarnpa.—Messrs. T. Moss (retiring member) and W. T. Grundy. Hutt and Petone.—Mr. E. P. Hishivorth.
Marlborough.—Mr. E. H. Penny. The nominations ore to close ou June 30. All voting papers are to be posted on or before July 21, and the official count will take plate on August i.
