London, June 20. An official return of Sinn Fein outrages from January 1, 1919, to April 30, 1920, includes forty-one murders of policemen and officials and six civilians, and and 343 incendiary fires, of winch 291 wow in April,—Reuter.

THE OUTBREAK AT LONDONDERRY RIOTERS DISPERSED BY TROOPS. London. June 20. . The outbreak of rioting, looting, and incendiarism began at Londonderry on Friday night, when a party of Unionists, armed with rifles and revolvers, assembled in a waterside district. The neighbouring Catholic residents, fearing attack, sent girl messengers across the river to summon the holp of Sinn Feinera and the Nationalists. Their arrival resulted in many street battles, the residents crawling out of danger along the roofs. Troops dispersed the rioters, but 6niping continued far three hours. £undredsof soldiers and potice patrolled the district on Saturday night, but moro serious rioting broke out in a- new quarter. Many people were held up and attacked in the street. Two fatalities occurred at the same debr within five minutes. An Irish-American wlio served in the British Army was fatally shot in a street. Two Sinn Feiners shot workmen entering a faotory, and a constable was held Uj> and badly beaten. Drunken men pLaced a dead body in a donkey-cart and drovo it to the hospital. Both sections of the rioters indulged in, looting. In all, five were killed and one hundred injured, ten seriously. The Are brigade was called out on Sunday afternoon, but the Sinn Feiners chased the firemen from the lire, and drove the engine to the Sinn Fein quar-ter.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. ■ NIGHT AHACK~¥ BARRACKS SINN FEINERS PUT TO FLIGHT. (Rec. June 21, 9.5 p.m.) London, June 21. Two hundred Sinn Feiners made a desperato night attack on the barracks at Farran, fourteen miles from Cork. Using gelignite, they blew up the corner of the barracks and fallowed this up with a fusillade of revolver and rifle shots. The garrison pluc'kily Leld out until reinforcements arrived and put the attackers to flight. The Sinn Feiners abnndoned three motor-cars. The 'barracks were wrecked.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
