The party was accorded a civic reception at the Town Hall, and deputations interviewed it on several subjects, namely; the Buller Gorge railway; Harbour Board revenues, as detrimentally affected by tho Finance Act of 1915; State as affecting Buller and Inangahua. counties. Regarding the last-men-ticned mailer, a deputation uTged that ■the-revenue from the forests should go to the counties- and not into tho general' funds of the Government.
