PROBLEM OF THEIR'EDUCATION. By Telerraph—Press 'Association. --..' Christchurch,, Juno 18. Referring to the education of children in the backhlocks, Mr. C. J. Parr (Minister of Education) told tho Canterbury Education Board that he thought tho time had come for tho Department to review .this problem. He had had an idea for some time that the provision of.hostess by tha.-Government would best solve tlhe problem. He meant hostels near tho larger schools. He did not want to .bring children into the town schools. Ho believed this method to be tjuiki as cheap as increasing capitation, which was tho only other way, and which would not get over tho difficulty of inefficient teachers; .He intended, to recommend '.that steps be takon in tho direction indicated in ono or two districts,
