The Bignals will be transmitted from the Wellington Radio Station, lat. iOdog. lflmin. 26sec. S.,'long. 174deg. E. on 11 wave length •of 600_ metres, and. to ensure accuracy, the signal key at the -wireless station will be automatically worked by the observatory clock. For approximately 2f minutes prior to Shr. 80min. p.m. N.Z.T., the words "New Zealand Observatory 'l'ime Signals 21 Hours G.M.T." will tie i»nt out continuously. The- accurate time signal will begin at 21 hours 0.0. G.M.T. (Bhr. 30min. N.Z.T.) and will bo repeated on the Ist, 2nd, 4rh, and stli mimites. (There will bo no time signal l , at the, 3rd minute.) Bach signal will commence exactly at the beginning of tlie minute, and will be approximately of one second's duration. It is pointed out by the Minister that wireless messages from the ships cf the mercantile marine are sent out on ,a wave length of GOO metres, so that, to ensuro success of the arrangement, it will be necessary for all ships fitted with wirefess apparatus to restrict their operations for the few mimites during which the time signals are being transmitted.
