LYALL BAY AFFAIRS
MUNICIPAL ELECTORS' ASSOCIATION.
A committee meeting of the Lyall Bay Municipal Electois' /ssociatinn was held on Thursday evening, Mr. F. J. Evans, tho president, occupying the chair. Mr. J. H. Ryder was appointed, a delegate to the Greater Wellington TownPlanning and Municipal Electors' Association. Eighty new members were elected to the association. Mr. Howitt was appointed assistant secretary. Mr. A. C. Blake gave notice of the following motion, to bo moved at the next general meeting: "It is desirable that delegates from this assneialion bo appointed to confer with delegates from other associations in the eastern suburbs on matters of public policy affecting.the combine;! districts, and with the object of forming an Eastern Suburbs Citizens' League." Mr. Blake expressed (he opinion, that tho city should utilise the Kilbirnio Rosqrvo to still, further-advantage by providing tennis courts and bowling "greens for the benefit of the eastern suburbs residents. The conimittee -had -:he question of milk accounts before it again, and tho opinion was expressed that the City Council should run the accounts on lines simikr to the electric light, department', namely, monthly accounts. ' ' , Mention was made of the straying horse nuisance, and the secrelnry staled that he and a constable had endeavoured recently to catch one of (he troublesome animals.
