The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report that at their Levin yards on Tuesday they offered a. fajr entry of sheep and cattle, and have to report a clearance at the following prices :-Ueht fat 2-tooth ewes and wethers, 27e.; woolly fat hoggets, 35b. 7d • fat and forward, ewes, 235. Bd.; fat larabfl (light), 18s. 2d.; 4-tootu wethers, 265. 4a.; reixed ser 2-toptha. 255. 2d.; good yearling steera, £5 11b. to' £7 Is.; email ditto £3 2a.; store cowb, £5; cow and calf, £9 10e.; small vealer, 275. 6t1.; Heifer, r.w.b., £4. The Wairarapa ' Farmers Co-opera "vo Association, Limited, stock department, Pah'iatua. report on the first Bale of the year held in Mangauao yards, β-i follows: A fair entry of sheep and a good yardine of cattle- -were offered to a fair; attendance oj tho public. The sheep entry consisted chiefly of wethers, all lines of which changed hands at • fairly good prices. In cattle'wo yarded somo exceptionally good lines of 15-month steers; these failed to change hands at auction, but we -were isuccessful in quitting same immediately after the sale by private treaty. Ordinary sorts of cattle were practically neglected. We report'the following salea:-34 small 2-tooth wethers, 15b.
