KING GEORGE V HOSPITAL
' A SOLDIER'S TRIBUTE. Some little time ago there were complaints bv visitors to King, Georgo V Hospital for Returned Soldiers at Rotorua that the men were-badly treated there, and that they led very dull lives indeed. This is apparently not the opinion formed of the institution by at least one of the inmates, following is an extract from the letter of a returned soldier who - was in the hospital soon after the out--3 crv against the institution had public- - ity: "I see in.the paper where some people have been kicking up a rowabout the arrangements in our hospital here. All I have got to say'is that if they had places like this in England or in France they would never be able to hunt the soldiers out of them. It will , take a. team of bullocks to get me out , now that I am settled down and know i my way round. Beds with sheets and pillows, six good feeds a day—what more (does anybody want? 'Clean clothes twice a week! Had my teeth filled at the expense of the Government the other day."
