DESTROYER CUT IN TWO

COLLISION WITH CUNARDER. (Reo. November 17, 5.5 p.m.) Washington, November 15. A collision occurred between the United Slates destroyer Shaw and the Cunsml liner Aquitania. The Shaw was cut in two, only 25 of the crew being rescued. One portion of the Shaw caught: fire. Destroyers quickly arrived nml quenched the flames. Fifteen of those on board are dead—Renter. A Npw York version of the above states that it wns the Canadian Pacific steamer Jfelita which cut in two and sank in collision with the United States destroyer Shnw in European waters.— Aus.-N.Z, Cable Assn.
