NEW ZEALAND LABOUR PARTY
Members of the New Zealand Labour Party,. Wellington Central branch, met at the Trades Hall 'on Tuesday , night, when the president (Mr. A. A. Agnew) took the chair. Nominations for Labour's ticket at the forthcoming local elections ■ were passed ant', forwarded on to the Labour Representation Committee. The Propaganda Committee brought forward • several recommendations. At the invitation of the committee, Mr. P. J. O'Eegan gave an address on '"Proportional Representation," and the meeting gave him a hearty vote of thanks. . ; The following resolutions were passed: "(1) That this meeting, of themembera of the Central branch of ihe New Zealand Labour Party, fully recognising the justice of. Jlr. A. Henderson's' appeal ifo the Imperial Government for a, seat for Lauour's representative at the Peace Conference table, are of the opinion that the brauches and affiliations , call on the nalional executive of the New Zealand Labour Party to at once cable Home, demanding Labour's right to an accredited representative. 1.2) In the event of New Zealand having representatives at the Peace Conference the opinion of this branch is that an accredited representativo of the New Zealand Labour Purty should be one of those chosen."
