Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having held their Upper Hutt stock Bale on Thuraday, when they offered a fair yarding of cattle. The following are the principal sales effected:-Fat bullocks, up to £14; eighteen-month steers, £3 Us. to £4; bulls, up to £10; milch cows, £6 to £10; empty cows, £5 17s, 6d. to £7 10s.; store cows, £5 155.; springing heifers. £8 to £9 15s.
The Viairarana Farmers' Co-operative Association, Limited, stock department, report:-We held tho weekly so.lo'at, Carterton on Friday, when we offered a fair yarding of sheep and a good one of cattle. There was a poor attendance of the public, but the firm auifted all lots at satisfactory prices. Messrs. Abraham and Williams. Ltd., report having held a most successful sale of pedigree Jersey stock on account of ilr. J. JJ. Brown, of Ohau. on Thursday Buyers were in good attendance, and competition for the various lota right throughout waa very keen, the result being a total clearance at highly satisfactory prices. The If.Z. Farmers' Co-operative Distributing Company, Ltd., report:—Wo held our inaugural clearance sale on August SI on account of Mr. F. G. 11. Philpotu. at his farm- at Pohangino. We had no difficulty in disposing q£ everything at pricee that were ono3t satisfactory to the vendor. The 6lock and sundries were all exhibited in- pood order, and the Bale went right throughout with a good swine resulting in everything being cleared at an early hour.
