MONEY MARKET. The Bank of England discount rato on January 12, 1917, was 5J per cent. On April 5 it was reduced to 5 per cent., at. which figure it has since atopd.

OPEN MARKET RATES. The open market discount rate for three months' bills is 3S per cent., as compared with 3J per cent, last week and 4j per cent, last year. Short loane aro quoted at 3J per cent., as against 3J per cent, lnat week and 4i per cunt, last year.
