"DICK WHirfINGTON" PANTOMIME. Prom a scouic point of view, it is stated that tho "Dick Whittington" pantomime to be seen here on Saturday next at tho (fraud Opera Homo, has achieved tho zeuilli of tho scene naiiiter's art. .Seventeen scenes are required to portray the big show. These havo been painted by Messrs. \V. li. ColeinaiL and Ueorco Upward. Some of the effects are claimed to be little short of wonderful. For the famous ballet of the Temptations has been executed an especially fine nerien otutaffo pictures, embracing "The Chimes,"' "The Clouds," and a Bttrring panorama illustrating the evils of "Play, Women, and Wine." In the second act, for the fascinating "Voßue" ballet has been painted an extraordinary black and white "futurist" set. The buuke, the cook's parlour, and the gardens of the Oammille trio are all remarkably clever scenic effects. The finale of the pantomime in the interior of the Guildhall Palace in London, an exact replica of the famous English historic buildinpt. It is here that the dazjling heraldic procession , takes place, ■with its sword-bearers, mace-bearers. Gargoyles, Gog and Mogog. and the hundred and one {flittering accessories that make up the big scene that brings down the ■curtain on'the pantomime. It is claimed for "Dick Whittimston" that in no entertainment of the kind in recent years has the scenic display been of so lavish a nature. The box plans are now open for the first eix nights at the Bristol. ENGLISH PIBEROTiS.. The entertainments being given by the English Pierrots at the Concert Ohambet of the Town Hall continue to attract large audiences. Last night the company made another .successful appearance, and all the artists were warmly applauded for their clever ptrformances. Whether in concerted, humorous, or serious items the Pierrots dieplay much talent and ta>te, and brightness is the keynote of tho whole show. To-night there will be a change of programme. . EVERYBODY'S THEATRE. "Sunshine Ally," now showing at Everybody's Theatre, is a Goldwyn production in which Slae Marsh portrays tho role of a poor girl who was befriended and belovod by the son of wealthy people. Tho end of tho story is very dramatic. Chapter IT of 'The Mystery of tho Double Cross,;' entitled "Kidnapped, 1 . , ia also shjpwn. KING'S THEATRE. An interesting problem is presented iii "The Silent Master," the main feature now screening at the King's Theatre. Robert Warwick is featured in the leading role. The story is powerfully told, and holds the audience until tho unexpected climax. EMPRESS THEATRE. "The Tenth Case," now screening at tho Empress Theatre, is distinctly above tho average, and grips from first. to last bjf reason of the artistic develoument of the plot and the dramatic situations whio! , . arise.
