There was a weaker demand for store sheep, and. as the sheep suffered in appearance through the wet /weather of the 'previous few days, the prices were easier. Fat lambs barely Maintained last week's lower rates, the competition front exporters lacking the ■ keenness of late sales. Fat sheep opened easier anil became firmer as the sale progressed, but prices all through were lower than last week. Fat cattle showed an advance, the export buyers operating more freely. There was a very fair demand for store cattle, but the quality was only, moderate. Daily cows again sold well, as did pigs of all classes. Store Sheep.—l and 6-looth ewes, 255. 7d. to 325. 4d.; C and 8-tooth ewes, 17s. to 265. lid.;. 2 and t-tooth wethers, 28s. 4<l. to '30s. 3d.; 4 and G-tooth wethers, to 345. 9d,; 4 and G-tooth, merino wethers, 225.
