Gilmour, editor of the "Times," was charged with ii .breach of the War Regulations in publishing a soldier's letter which referred t> the movements of a troopship and ether matters. ■ i ■ . TUs Crown coursel said he was instructed to treat the case as a serious cue, but did. not euggest that the breach «ae wilful. Defendant stated that the letter was sent for publication, and he thought it would bo interesting to publish. Apart from the mo\ement of a Uanrport them was really nothing in it. , The Magistrate sa'id everyone knew the patriotic opinions of the paper, but he had to do.his duty. Decision was reserved.
