Sir,—The people of New Zealand arei indebted to you for your publication o£ President Wilson's instructions in .the' official bulletin to tho officers of the Army and Navy, urging the importance of Sunday rest lor man and beast, Tli6' heads of some of the Government Depurtments in thin city might inquire into the practice of office cleaning and other work on Sundays, notwithstanding the fact that the offices close at noon on Saturday. ' Greater ..respect is paid to man's law. than that of God's, to' *it. j the strict enforcement of the Shops anijt Offices Act by the inspector, as agamst the lazy administration of the, same law I in respect to a«>, etc.. ■ ' EEKEMBER
