A "High Military Authority" writes: "Genoral Allenby's advance in Palestine has rendered tho Turkish position precarious. Genoral Marshall also began an advance- on April ii. An official report from Palestine states: "Fighting was continued throughout May 2 east of tho Jordan and south of Es Salt. The enemy who crossed the rivar nt Jisrcddaza were driven back. Our air service attacked and bombed the enemy s troops and rolling stock on the Horn railway in the vicinity of Amman and Wadissir, south cf Es Salt. Two at our machines have not returned. During tho night of Mny 2 and the morning of May 3 tho enemy renewed his attacks on. Es Salt from tho north-east and north with considerable reinforcements.
