GERMAN AEROPLANE WORKS DESTROYED
THE EIRE AT ERIEDRICHSHAVEN. Berno, April 16. The Zeppelin factory near Medrichshavon, which was destroyed by firo on Saturday, was lately transformed into a Gotha aeroplane factory. The lire also destroyed Zeppelin sheds, stores, offices, two modol Zeppelins, a number of giant aeroplanes, and great quantities of benzine and timber. Tho firo broke out on Saturday, and continued on Sunday. The explosives sent vp hugo columns of flame, and also hurled debris over Friedrichshaven, destroying houses. . The' inhabitants were panic-stricken, and many fled to neighbouring towns. Nearly forty workshops wero burnt; HO people were killed and 200 wero injured—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn.
