Jt: Triggs, Dr. Brown stated that death was duo to a ruptured left ventricle. Tlio cause of rupturo was not clear. There was no evidence of ptomaine poisoning. Dr. Potinger expressed- tho opinion that tho pain deceased 6u(lered was possibly due to overstrain of tho heart muscle from hurrying to catch a train or other physical exertion. Tho inquest was adjourned. LAUNCH FATALITY AT MERCER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, November 18. William Gnrdine, u. builder, was drowned in the AVaikato Rivor at Mercer through the capsizing of n. launch.
