INSTITUTE OF ARCHITECTS

There are now 330 members of the New Zealand Institute of Architects, distributed as follows:—Auckland, 100; Wellington, 130;- Canterbury, 48; Otags, 31; Southland, 12; life honorary members, 6. Of tho total, 134 rank as follows and IDS as Associates. Last year the total membership was 328—134 Fellows and 194 Associates. Tho members serving with the different branches of the New Zealand Expeditionary Forces are 15 Fellows and 57 Associates, being 22 per cent, of tho total active membeiship, as against 11 per cent, at the same period lust year. Military honours have, ac. cording to the annual report of the council of the institute, been secured by tbo following:—Captain F. E. Greenish, M.C.; Lieutenant Stanley Nutuech, M.C.; Lance-Corporal J. H. Edgecumbe, M.M.; Lieutonaut E. H, Wills, M.C. Tho council reports, with deep regret, the names of tho following who have fallen in the war: Lieutenant E. W. Callonder, Private A. D. Eeece, Sergeant W. J). A. Quick, Act.-Captain W. B. Bushby, Captain F, N. Marchant, Lieutenant T. H. Watson, 2nd Lieutenant M. K. M'Lood, and Privato Allan Stevenson.
