A Russian named Kiril Kerilor appeared for sentence at the Magistrates Court on charges to which he had pleaded guilty at Mercury Bay of collecting subscriptions for a fictitious Russian war fund. Evidence was given that accused was of good reputation, and was formerly an officer of tho Salvation Army afc Minerslon North. Having received an undertaking that the money would be handed to the Publio Trustee, tho Magistrate imposed a fino of iC2O.
