THE RECENT ATTACK ON THE CONVOY.
London, November 3. The Norwegian newspaper "Tidonstegn," Rivinsr details of the sinking of the convoy in tho North Se.a on October 17, says: "The German cruieers and . torpedo-boats advancing on each Bide ' swept the convoy with all guns at a range of less than two hundred yards. .Not content with tho sinking of ships they shelled tho lifeboats. Every livingthing coming their way was mercilessly slaughtered. Tho survivors owed their lives to tho rough sea making the boats a difficult mark. After disposing of the British torpedoVboats, tho Germane cruised backwards and forwards along the sinking vessels, pouring in a fresh rain of ehelle «t a hundred yards range."—Reuter.

A GERMAN "MYSTERY BOAT."
London, November 4. Tho newspapers are puzzled over the electrically-Mvntrollcd German boat whioh tho patrols sank off the Belgian coast. Naval writers suggest that it was with;\ out a crew and woe controlled by wireless waves from the shore or aircraft.
