Though lie has been highly spoken ol for some time, Wrestler has only won a couplo of small races. The Antagonist colt' won ■ a Maiden Handicap et Wanganul last year, and was not successful again till he scored in a hack race at Eangiora on Monday. He is in the Stewards' Handicap, for which ho has plenty of admirers. An exchango states that apparently all is not well with Mr C. D. Greenwood'! Welcome Stakes candidate Gloaming, ai h6 has done little work since before tho Dunedin Meeting. The race that, Snub had at Rangiora appears to ba-ve sharpened him up, and should improve his Cup prospects. Arrangements have been made for C. Emer son to have the mount on Martian's tin luclcy son. On hiß return from the Dunedin Meet ing, Gamecock developed leg trouble, an<i he has had to he eased up. This may prevent him fulfilling engagements at next month's meeting. A Press Association teleeram from Ohristchurch states that Trials, Sweet Tipnerary, Po-ddington Green, and Greta have been scratched for all engagement! at the Canterbury Jockey Club's Meeting.
