The quality was: better■than, last week and prices advanced slightly at. tho opening and increased as tho sale proceeded, finishing is; to Is. 6d. higher than last week. Prime wether, 576. 9d.; good, 525. to 51s. Bd.; medium, 4Ss. Od to 505.; lighter, Us. 6d. to fSs. Lambs.-About 30 penned. The qualitywas very prime.and prices wero higher than last week. There was a fair to medium yarding ot pig». -Prime baconers, 1305.; medium, 90s. to 1155.; porkers, 675.; medium, Gls.; slips, 48s. (o 505..; best weauers, 495.; others, ;<te. to 315.; small, lis, lid. The Upper Hutt district is te'tho foro at the Hawko's Bay .show in exhibits of Mcsian dairy cattle. Several farms have sent in entries, and secured excellent results. ; _ • The Cluny liriesian Farm. Co.. was awarded first prize and championship tor their imported bull Woodcrest Hengerveld Hechhilde, and second, prize for their young hull Cluny Mechhilde<Buttorcup! hrel on tho farm, and firstand second prizes for two yearling heifers.
