CRICKET ASSOCIATION
MEETING OP EXECUTIVE,
The executive of tha Wellington Cricket Association met last evening in tha Civil Service Club rooms, Mr. C. (x. Wilson presided, and other members present were: Messrs. AVillis, Ward, Bennett, Crombie, Beeehey, and Howitt. The ohairman made reference to th» nlterations that had been effected in the Basin .Reserve. He said that tho association had good reason to bo pleased with them, but ho expressed the opinion that tho water supply would havo to be increased if the ground was to be kept m a good green slate. The meeting appointed Messrs, Wilson and to approach the City Council, with a new to having the chairman's suggestion put into cffect ... It was decided that practice wickets should not bo available on the Basin Begorvo before four g'clgolv, as playing earlier than that was apt to interfero with tho carctakcr's performance of his duties. Trentham Camp. notified the association that it was intended to enter a senior tewn. The proposal bad too support of the Camp Commandant, Colonel Potior. • 1 i Tho Minister of Defence informed the meeting" by letter that he considered that cricket misfit be indulged in.jnth advantage to tho players and without interference with military affairs. .

Basin), ".Tumor grade fixtures for October 20 and 27 are:—University v. Ordnance (JJelburno No. 1); North v. Hult, (Hutt); Scots College v.- Munitions (Kolburn No. 2); Base "Records v. Wellington College (College Ground); Returned Soldiers v. Marist (Basin No. 4). Third class fixtures for October 20 are:— Banks Collcgo v. Wellington College I (Wellington College around); St. Patrick's v. Jlarist (Kelburn); Institute v. Wellington Collcgo A (College ground).
