A WILD WEEK-END

Portion of the roof of a wool store in the course of erection on Thomdon Quay was blown off. Owing to difficulty in securing bricklayers the roof had been gone on with ahead of the rest of tho building. The Taniwha.a fishing launch, anchored in Evans Bay, was driven on to the rocks by the gale at about 6.30 a.m. yesterday. There was a heavy sea, and the boat dragged her anchor. She is badly damaged.
