Reference to the great need for a new technical school in Wellington was made in the House of Rewesentativcs last ni-ht:' Mr. W. H. With regard to a site for Wellington Technical School —- ■' T __ Mr. HindmaTehi.What about Jam J-ifl Hanan said '.that Cabinet had set up a committee to: report on Mount Cook area, and to mate recommendations,as to the institution that should ,T» established on Mount Coot. They had ed a very comprehensive report, recommending that the Technical School and also the Museum should be erected there. He could not say whether the Government would be prepared to give overthis area for a Technical School site. Mr. Hornsby: Will it Wot out the present eyeeore on Mount Cook? Mr. Hanan: Yes. . . Mr. Field: When aro the Government noing to consider it? . . ■Mr. Hanan: "I don t know.As soon as tli© war work is oyer. Ho added that he was anxious to have the matter considered before, the war' was over. ~
