ABOUT RETURNED SOLDIERS. A rumour current in Wellington was mentioned in tho Houkq of Representatives yesterday by Jlr. G. It. Sykes (Mastnrlon). It was to tho effect that the Government intended to call up lor medical examination the returned and discharged soldiers prior to taking the first ballot of tho Second Division. Sir .Tames Allen said he did not know how these idle and silly rumours got about, and lie did not know why members were so silly as to take notice of them. Tho Military Service Act taid plainly that discharged soldiors were not members of the reserve, and so they could not bo called up.
