SPRING GALES
Now is the season of gales, the spring gales that mark tho vernal equinox, howling northerlies, low driving cloud banks, grey skies, grey water, whirling dust-spirals, and fugitive hats. This was Wellington weather yesterday, the day before yesterday, arid, aeording to tho official forecast, this will be Wellington weather to-<lay. Present indications, states the Government Meteorologist, are for increasing northerly winds, dull to overcast skies.' foggy in parts, with genoral rain following. The barometer is falling everywhere, but ie somewhat unsteady in tho south.
