The retail price of methylated spirit - has been fixed at.4Jd. per reputed pint, and 6d. per measured pint. ■ The flat rate of cheese has been fixed at Hid. per lb. . The price of maize has been fij;ed at . 4s. 6d. per bushel wholesale. , The Government Statistician states that - the price of meat in Sydney has increased over 82 per cent., and the prices of other food and groceries 22j per cent!, compared •svith August, 1911.
