NAVAL PATROL MEN
QUESTION OF FINANCIAL AID. Many times the request has been made that men in the Naval Patrol should rcceivo pay and allowances equal to those paid to members of the Expenditionary Force. In (ho House of Representatives yesterday Mr. It. A. Wrifflit asked tho Minister of Uefenco whether anything further had been dono to provide finan- ■ cial aid for manned men from Acw Zenland doing ■patrol work in European waters. . , ~ Sir James Allen stated that jE such aid were extended to thoso men (ha Government would have to extend U to every man volunteering for service in other than tho New Zealand Expeditionary Force who happened to be domiciled in New Zealand at some time. The proposal would have to bo very carefully considered. -
