— ♦ EVERY CARE TAKEN. Referring in the House of Representatives yesterday to the Port Kembla dis- . aster, Ifr. J. Vigor Brown 6taled that he had been informed, though ho could not .vouch for the statement, that six Germans were working on boats in Wellington Harbour that morning. Despite the faot that soma precautions were taken at the -wharves, thero appeared <o be no check'on foreigners. Tho Prime Minister 6tat«l that as far as the Wellington wharves were concerned, and ho thought the other were in the same position, not a 6!ngle unnaturalised German was employed there. Every precaution was being takon to 66cure the safety of our ships; not a thing had been left undone. He could not .go into details because that would give the whole position away.
