SECOND DIVISION LEAGUE
• CENTRAL EXECUTIVE MEETING. Tho Central Executive of the Federated Second Division League met last evening, Mr. E. A. Armstrong, president, being in the chair. The secretary read n number of letters ami telegrams from district leagues throughout the Dominion urging tho executive to take an stops possible to bring about the early consideration of tho leagues proposals, .and protesting against the possibility of any men being balloted before legislation making proper provision for the dependants of soldiers, etc., was passed into law. A report was receired from tho delegation that waited on members of Parliament on Tuesday evening. A number of communications from the provincial organisations requesting the calling of another Dominion Conference were considered, and it was decided to hold the matter over until the first meeting of the Central Executive following the Wellington Provincial Conference. ... Tho secretary reported that over nity new leagues had been formed since the recent conference, and the scheme of organisation adopted by the ■.provincial brandies was now well Tinder way. • The secretary wa« instructed to riako appointments with the local members ot Parliament with a view to enabling the Wellington committee to discuss with the league's programme in detail.
