LAWN TENNIS
BROUGHAM HILL' CLUB. The annual mcetine of the Brougham Hill Lawn Tennis Club was hold last ovening, Mr. G. Uoldie presiding over a good attendance. Tho following °.™cers were elected:—President, Hon. J. 0. W. Aitken; vice-presidents, Sir Kenneth Douglas, Messrs. G. Goldie, J. Hunter, Ct. Winder, E. A. Hurley, aud lv Roberts ; 1 Management Committee, Mcsdames Norris, W. E. Howe, Miss Sinclair, Messrs. Roberts and H. B. Howe; secretary, Mr. W. E. Howe; treasurer, Mr. j. A. B. Howe! . It was decided that the season should be opened on September 29. The meeting decided to hold a patriotic tournament on Dominion Day, and a patriotic fancy-dress tournament on October 6 in aid of the. Soldiers Comforts Fund. .■The. following resolution was carried unanimously-.—"This, the eighteenth annual meeting of tie Brougham Hall Tennis' Club, is of opinion that tho administration' oiS. the finances during tlio war period of the Wellington and the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Associations should receive serious consideration;
