A lialf-caste named James Boas, who had pleaded guilty to charges of breaking and entering at Greytown, was today sontenced by tho Chief Justice, Sir Robert Stout, to too years' reformative treatment.
Albert Jones was charge 3 with forging tho liiiiuo of a dead man io a promissory note, and issuing tho same fo tho Public Trustee, and also with signing a' declaration knowing it to bo false. Ho was Tound guilty, and sentenced was deferred until to-morrow.
A licensing appeal lodged by Sergeant Miller against two decisions of Mr. W, J. Kerr, S.M., was upheld TfytluyfjOTef Juslieu
