THE WAR LOAN
SUBSCRIPTIONS STILL BEING DECEIVED. Tho Minister of Finance (RigM H°n. Sir Joseph Ward) stated yesterday that subscriptions for the War Loan were still reaohing him. A Dunedin firm had telegraphed asking if ho would accept a sudIcription of iSO.OOO, and many -mallei amounts were being offered and accept ed. The loan had not yet been imallr closed, and it would bo kept open until the Finance Bill, which gave authority to companies, societies trustees, ana others to contribute, had been inado law.
