NEW ZEALAND BADGE

Siuco the calling up of troops for service in the present war, there has beon no universal New Zealand badge issued to be worn by the soldiers. At first tho Territorial regimental badges were used to a great extent, whilo the various reinforcement drafts have adopted badges of different designs. It has now been decided to issue a New Zealand badge which will be worn by all troops irrespective of regiments or drafts. The design is a siniplo and strong one—tho letters N.Z., enclosed in curving fern leaves, and surmounted by a crown. It is expected that the new badge will bo available very soon.
