GERMAN ATTACK ON THE MEUSE ENEMY SHELLED BACK INTO THE TRENCHES London, August 7. A French official commnnujue states that there is a lively artillery struggle in Belgium, particularly in Bixschoote, north of tho Aisne, and HurtebiseCraonno eectore. After a lively bombardment, tho Germans this morning attempted an attack between Avoeourt Wood and Hill 304. A French official communique states: 'The activity of the artillery continues. The enemy attacked our positions at Caurieres Wood.
