SOLDIER KILLED
BODY FOUND ON 'COWCATCHER-' OF A TRAIN. By Telegraph—Press Association, Auckland, August S. As tho Rotorua express approachedManurewa this morning a porter on tho station discovered tho body of a man on tho cowcatcher. It proved to bo tho body of a soldier belonging, to the Twenty-ninth Reinforcements, but so far it has not been identified. The body was terribly mutilated, and death must have been instantaneous. Later. The soldier killed at Manurewa was Joseph Cartwright, of Paparoa, North Auckland.
