(Joiuiietitioii waß fcecu right throughout the sale, and it good clearance was made at the lollowmg prices-.-Sheep: Fat'n.f. wethers, 35a.; uuscu aged ewes, in lamb to S.JJ. ramß, 335. 4d.; cull ewes, 205.; rania, 15s. Cattle: Springing heifers, £8 17s. 6(1., £9 sb. to £10 Ills.; m.s. weahcrs, £4 3s. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Masterlon, report, having held their weekly salo in the Carterton saleyards on Friday, when there was the usual attendance and a fair yarding of both sheep and cattle. Competition waa fairly animated and a sood clearance was made at the following prices:—Sheep: Forward empty ewes, 255. 6d. to 265.; 2-looth wethers, 315.; ewes in lamb to S.D. rams, 21s. 10(1.: shorn wclher hoggets, 19s. 6d.; b.f. lioggeta, 19s. -Id.; cull hoggets, 13s. 2d. Cattle: Spriuging heifers, £14; wcaners, £2 7s. 6d. llcssri:. Dalgety anil Co., Ltd., report on their Wnvcrlcy sale, held.on Augpst 3:— We offered a medium yarding of sheen and cattle to the usual attendance of buyers. All classes of sheep met with fair competition, and the demand for young cattle showed an improvement, hut grown sorts were inclined to be neglected. Quotations: Empty 2-toolli ewos, 23a.; medium 2 and 4-tooth wethers, 31s. 5d.; medium shorn hoggets, 245. 9d. to 255. 3d.; weancr steers. £0; weancr heifers, £4 14a.; 2-year heifers, £6 65.: 2-year steers, £7 to £10 2s. Messrs. Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report having effected the. following sales through their Pahiatua branch during the past, week:—Sheep: 91 f.ui. ewes, in lamb, 255.; 23 hoggets, 30s. 6d.; '57 hoggets, 235. Id.; 75 do., 265.
