IMPORTANT DISPERSAL SALE OF DAIRY CATTLE.
An 'announcement- apnearine in this issue shows that s[r. \Y\ Hcmnant's dispersal sale of pedigreo appendix and grade Freisian da-vr.v stock will be held at his farm, Tc Matai, two miles from Palincrstqn North, to-morrow. The offering comprises six stud cows, holding high semiofficial records, six two and three-yea-r stud heifers, three yearling stud heifers, and heifers number 30, the grade cows and heifers 48, the yearling heifers 30, and the six stud hulls. The appendix cows and crossbred cows 14. The cows and heifers, which are August and September- calvers, have been bred to stud bulls, and buyers who require really good sorts can. tho auctioneers state, confidently rely on filling their requirements at this fixture. 1 As the vendor is unable to nrocure labour, he has decided to sell the whole offering with the exception of the young cattle and the studs, absolutely without reserve. The sale will bo conducted by Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., auctioneers, and drags will leave their office, Queen Street, at 11 o'clock on the morning of sale. Shiiet steel is becoming scarcer and scarcer, and since it is used in the manufacture of the famous Victor Vat, the makers aro dubious' as to whether the season's orders can be filled.
