~ An amalgamation of forces lias been arranged in connection with the- "Silver Bullet" campaign that is to take place in Wellington, during tho spring to raise funds for Bed Cross work and tho War Relief Association. Originally it was to be arranged by the Wellington Patriotic Society (which 'has done good work in tho past), working witb tho committee of tho War Eelief Association, but row it lias been arranged that tho lied Closs Society and the Mayor's Patriotic Committee shall be represented on the executive 'which is to arrange and carry out tho campaign.

Mr. William Fancett, of Maidstone, who worked for Disraeli at lis election to Parliament in 1837, has entered bis 103 rd year.
