Hie seventeenth annua] roport of the Wellington i;« se alu i Carnation Club shows that steady progress continues lo mark the work of the club, and the financial position is particularly sound, dospito the fact that flie whole of the profits derived from the spriuj,' show were devoted to patriotic purposes. The sum of .1:25 15s. Bd. was raised for the .Mayor's Fund lor Wounded Soldiers as the resuit of the show, making a total of M:ii lis. 7<l. contributed by the club during the war to this purpose. The committee has mentioned particularly the lady members of the club, and friends who have done such excellent work in the club's behalf, while donors of specinl prizes and generous contributions are referred to.' | , A practical demonstration of pruning is to be jiiven by leading members of the club at the Zoo rosarv next week.
