WATERSIDERS' BAND
At the annual meeting of the WaterBide Workers' Band, Mr. H. Callaghan presided. The balance-sheet for the year ending July H showed/ assets as follow;— Silver-plated instruments, JJOIiO 12s. 10d.; old instruments, .C3O 12s. Gd.; old uniforms, .£35 12s. 2d.; new uniforms, J;IGS 18s. (id.; music-stands, music, lamps, etc., Ji3f 45.; total, .£BOO. There are no liabilities. The receipts for the year exceeded the expenditure by .1:15 17s. Officers for the ,ensuing .season •were elected "as follow:—Conductor, Mr. J. ,7. Drew; drum-major, Mr. C. AVent-* worth; bandmaster, Sir. J. Omrod; band sergeant, Mr. W. Barke; corporal, Mr. T. M'Gregor; librarian, Mr. T. Hickcy; secretary, Mr. B. Bradley; assistant secretary, Mr. L. Tremayne; delegate to W.W.U., Mr. M. Broadhurst; general committee, Messrs. Greig, M. Broadhurst, H. Hines, W. Owens, and H. Berry.
