Vile, editor, of the 'TVairarapa Age." against the 'T?«irarapa Daily Times" for alleged libel contained in an articlo published by the latter paper on July 11. Sir Jhon Findiay, K.C., is acting for tho plaintiff. A YOUTHFUL FORGER ' r-* PLEADS GUILTY TO TEN CHARGES. Tij TeleKraDtt—Press Association. Ashburton, July 17. Montague Henry Tates, a youth of 18 years, who was released from Burnhaan Industrial School, in May last, pleaded guilty at the Police Court tc-rtay to ten charges of forgery for amounts from 7s. (id. to .610 175., and aggregating M 7 12s. Gd. He operated on business peoples cheques, which purported to bo signed by a local farmer. He was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. He was also remanded on a charge of the theft of a rug, valued at J32 10s., at Eakaia, and sentenced to a month's imprisonment on a minor charge of theft.
