MAGISTRATE'S COURT

POLICE CASES. Mr. S. E. M'Carthy presided at tho Magis- . trate's Court yesterday and dealt with the police cases. Charles Thomas Luzon, a returned soldier, for whom Mr. H. H. Cornish appeared, was charKcd that on June 13, 1917, I at Wellington, he did commit biiramy. A remand to July 18 was granted and hall was allowed in £50 and one surety of £53. Ac elderly man named William Wallace was charged with being an incorrigible rogue in that he was found by night on enclosed property in Wakefield Street. Wallace had been in the Ohiro Home, but conld not be induced to stay there. He had been previously convicted as a rogue end a vagabond, no was sentenced to twoi years' imprisonment. ' Joseph Dossenbach and Itobcrt O'Leary, convicted of drunkenness, were each fined 2!fe., in default seven days' imprisonment. CIVIL CASES. Mr. W. G. Biddcll, S.M., heard the civil casis in the Magistrate's Court yesterday. Judgment was given for plaintiff in the following undefended cases:—Jack Jacobus v D.
